I thought I'd start to review some of the clays I've used and give my opinion on them. I thought this might be helpful or useful to some of you.
Whenever I try a new sculpting materials for the first time, I find myself invariably having a learning curve ahead of me.
My process alters from sculpture to sculpture but never that greatly. Since I've spent time developing my techniques and working practices I've created a process that help me achieve satisfactory results, however I have noticed that different types of clay(how they react and behave)alter the process forcing me to come up with new techniques and subsequently impacting on my sculpting style as well as the time it takes to produce a sculpt.
I've had the pleasure of working in the video games industry since 2000 for many amazing companies such as Nintendo, Microsoft, BBC, Amazon, Surface Digital, and many others. I've spent the past 24 years providing original art based solutions for the entertainment industry. During this time my work has covered all areas of Conceptual Design, Production Art and Art Direction ranging in style and subject matter from heavily stylized to realistic aesthetics and everything in-between.
